Possible Causes
Shorted or open sensor wiring, Multiple sensor failures, Control board sensor input failure, Incorrect sensor type installed
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power before working on wiring.
Steps to address SEN error:
- Identify all sensors: Water temperature, flue, air, and limit sensors may share common circuits. Inspect each for damage.
- Check harnesses: Follow the sensor harness from the board to each sensor. Look for pinched, cut, or chewed wires.
- Disconnect sensors one at a time: With power OFF, disconnect each sensor and check resistance individually. Replace any that are out of specification.
- Inspect control board: Look for corrosion at sensor input pins. Clean gently if minor; replace board if heavily corroded or burned.
Note: If multiple sensors were replaced with non‑OEM parts, verify compatibility with Raypak specifications.
