How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety First: Disconnect power before servicing.
- Locate inlet sensor: Find the inlet water temperature sensor on the inlet header or manifold.
- Inspect and clean connections: Remove the connector, inspect for corrosion or moisture, dry thoroughly, and reconnect securely.
- Test sensor: Use a multimeter to measure resistance and compare to Rheem's specified values for the current water temperature. Replace if out of range.
- Check control board connector: Ensure the sensor plug is fully seated on the main control board and that there are no bent pins.
