Possible Causes
Worn membrane keypad, Moisture intrusion into control panel, Loose ribbon cable to main board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety First: Turn off power before opening the control panel.
- Dry the panel: If there is visible condensation or water on the display, allow the panel to dry completely. Check for sources of water entry and correct them.
- Inspect ribbon cable: Open the control panel and verify the keypad ribbon cable is fully seated on the main board. Reseat if loose.
- Test button response: After restoring power, test each button. If some or all remain unresponsive, the keypad assembly likely needs replacement.
- Replace keypad/display: Install a Rheem OEM keypad or display assembly, ensuring a proper seal to prevent future moisture intrusion.
