Possible Causes
Shorted air pressure switch contacts, Blocked pressure tubing trapping vacuum, Faulty SmartPool control board reading
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Warning: The air pressure switch must open when the inducer is off. A stuck-closed switch is a safety concern.
- Power off inspection: Turn off power and remove the front panel. Locate the air pressure switch and its tubing.
- Clear tubing: Remove the tubing from the switch and inducer port. Blow gently through it to clear moisture or debris. Reinstall securely.
- Check switch terminals: Inspect for signs of arcing or melted plastic. Do not bypass the switch.
- Restart: Restore power and call for heat. If SPAO3 persists, the air pressure switch likely needs replacement.
