Possible Causes
Open igniter circuit, Failed SmartPool ignition control board, Blown internal fuse, Loose ignition harness connector
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off power and gas before accessing internal components.
- Check control fuses: Open the control compartment and inspect any low-voltage fuses on the SmartPool control board. Replace only with identical ratings.
- Inspect igniter harness: Verify the igniter plug is fully seated on the control board and that the cable is not cut or burned.
- Visual igniter check: Remove and inspect the igniter for obvious damage. Do not touch the element with bare hands.
- Reset: Restore power and attempt a start. If SPIGN remains and there is still no spark or glow, the ignition control board or igniter likely needs replacement by a technician.
