Possible Causes
Failed internal thermostat on SmartPool control, Shorted external thermostat wires, Incorrect mode (pool/spa) configuration
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Overview: Thermostat faults affect temperature control but not basic safety circuits.
- Mode check: Confirm the heater is in the correct mode (pool or spa) and that the active setpoint is above current water temperature.
- External t-stat: If using an external thermostat or automation, temporarily disconnect its wires at the heater and test using the internal control only.
- Control reset: Power cycle the heater and re-enter desired setpoints.
