Possible Causes
Defective water inlet temperature sensor, Broken or shorted sensor cable, Poor connection at control board, Sensor not in proper contact with water flow
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect electrical power before accessing sensors or control board.
- Locate inlet sensor: Identify the water inlet temperature sensor on the inlet pipe or manifold of the SPRSUN heater.
- Verify mounting: Confirm the sensor is properly inserted into its well or strapped tightly to the pipe with thermal paste or insulation as originally installed.
- Check wiring: Follow the sensor lead to the main PCB and ensure the connector is fully seated. Look for signs of rodent damage or abrasion.
- Swap test (advanced): If you have two identical sensors (inlet and outlet), a technician can temporarily swap them to see if the fault follows the sensor.
- Replace sensor: If E06 persists, replace the inlet temperature sensor with a genuine SPRSUN-compatible part.
