Possible Causes
Loose communication cable between user interface and main board, Damaged communication harness, Faulty display (HMI) board, Faulty main control PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before removing the front cover or control panel.
- Check display cable: Remove the front panel to access the display board. Verify that the communication cable (often a multi-core or RJ-type cable) is firmly plugged into both the display and main PCB.
- Inspect for damage: Look for pinched, cut, or water-damaged cables. Replace any damaged harnesses.
- Dry moisture: If condensation or water ingress is present around the control area, dry thoroughly and improve sealing or shielding.
- Power-cycle: Restore power and see if E08 clears. Sometimes a full power reset (off for 5–10 minutes) will restore communication.
- Board replacement: If the error persists, either the display board or main PCB may be defective. A technician can test by substitution with known-good SPRSUN boards.
