Possible Causes
Corrupted control board memory, Power surge damage, Faulty main control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Disconnect power before accessing the control board.
- Power reset: Turn off the breaker for at least 5 minutes to allow capacitors to discharge, then restore power and check if E19 clears.
- Check for surge damage: Look for burn marks or damaged components on the Sta-Rite control board. Consider installing a surge protector for future protection.
- Reconfigure settings: If the heater allows, re-enter configuration parameters (gas type, altitude, etc.) following the service manual.
- Replace control board: If E19 persists, the non-volatile memory is likely damaged. Replace the Sta-Rite main control board.
