Possible Causes
Tripped circuit breaker, Loose power connections at heater, Failed power switch, Blown internal fuse on control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Always turn off the breaker before opening the heater's electrical compartment.
- Check breaker: Inspect the dedicated breaker for the Sta-Rite heater. Reset if tripped; if it trips again immediately, call an electrician.
- Verify line voltage: At the heater's junction box, confirm that correct voltage is present (qualified persons only). Tighten any loose wire nuts or lugs.
- Inspect power switch: If equipped with an on/off rocker, test it for continuity. Replace the Sta-Rite power switch if open when switched on.
- Check internal fuse: Some control boards have a small replaceable fuse. With power off, remove and test the fuse; replace with the same rating if blown.
