Possible Causes
Incorrect wiring to fireman's switch terminals, Misconfigured automation output, Faulty low-voltage input board, Broken control cable
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off power before working on low-voltage terminals.
- Verify wiring diagram: Consult the SunHeater manual and your automation manual to confirm correct connections to the heater's Remote/Fireman's Switch Terminals.
- Test heater locally: Put the heater in Local mode and confirm it operates normally from its own controls.
- Simulate call for heat: With power off, temporarily jumper the remote terminals on the heater. Restore power and see if the heater responds. If it does, the issue is in the external controller or wiring.
- Check cable continuity: Test the control cable between the automation panel and heater for opens or shorts. Replace if damaged.
