How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off power and gas before opening the heater.
- Check air intake and exhaust: Remove any obstructions from the intake and exhaust. Ensure venting is per SunHeater specifications.
- Inspect burners and orifices: Remove the burner tray and check that each Burner Orifice is clear. Clean gently with compressed air; do not drill or enlarge.
- Tighten panels: Tighten all cabinet screws and fasteners. Loose panels can vibrate and whistle.
- Observe operation: After reassembly, run the heater and listen for changes. If whistling persists, have a gas technician verify manifold pressure and combustion.
