Possible Causes
Severe suction-side air leak, Pump installed above water level without proper check valve, Incorrect priming speed setting, Cracked AquaFlo pump housing
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power and relieve system pressure before opening any components.
- Verify installation height: Check that the AquaFlo pump is installed within the manufacturer’s recommended height above water level. If higher, install a suction-side check valve to maintain prime.
- Inspect pump housing: Look for hairline cracks in the pump volute and lid area that could draw air. Replace the housing if any cracks are found.
- Check all suction fittings: Tighten unions, inspect glued joints, and ensure the suction valve stems are not leaking air.
- Increase priming speed/time: In the controller menu, increase the priming speed and/or duration per AquaFlo guidelines to allow more time to establish flow.
