• Check mounting: Ensure the pump is securely bolted to a solid, level pad. Tighten any loose mounting bolts.
• Inspect plumbing alignment: Verify that suction and discharge pipes line up naturally with the pump ports. Add flexible couplings if rigid plumbing is forcing misalignment.
• Check impeller: Disassemble the wet end and inspect the impeller for broken vanes or debris stuck on one side, which can cause imbalance.
• Evaluate bearings: Spin the motor shaft by hand and listen for roughness. Replace the motor if bearings are noisy.
