Possible Causes

Incoming supply voltage below specification, Loose line or neutral connection at terminal block, Undersized extension cable causing voltage drop

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Turn off power at the breaker and lock it out before opening any electrical covers. Verify power is off with a non-contact voltage tester.

Steps to check:

  • Verify supply voltage: Using a multimeter, measure voltage at the Aquaflow pump input terminals (L–N or L–L). Confirm it matches the pump nameplate (typically 230V ±10% or 115V ±10%).
  • Inspect wiring connections: Remove the electrical cover on the pump control box. Check that line, neutral, and ground wires are firmly secured in the terminal block and show no signs of overheating or corrosion.
  • Eliminate long/undersized cables: If the pump is powered through a long run or extension cord, temporarily connect it with a short, properly sized cable to see if the error clears.
  • Check breaker and GFCI: Ensure the breaker and any GFCI outlet are rated correctly and not partially tripped. Reset if necessary.

If voltage is within spec and wiring is secure but E01 persists, the internal power supply on the control board may be faulty. At that point, contact a qualified pool equipment technician.
