Possible Causes

Failed motor speed sensor, Damaged sensor wiring harness, Faulty connector at control board, Internal motor electronics fault (on integrated motor models)

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Turn off power and lock out the breaker. Wait for any capacitors in the drive to discharge (typically 5–10 minutes).

  • Inspect sensor cable: On Aquaflow variable-speed models, locate the low-voltage harness between the motor and control board. Check for cuts, rodent damage, or pulled connectors.
  • Reseat connectors: Gently unplug and replug the sensor connector at both the motor and control board, ensuring it clicks into place.
  • Check for moisture: Look for signs of water ingress in the motor terminal box or control housing. Dry thoroughly if moisture is present and correct any sealing issues.
  • Test operation: Restore power and attempt to start the pump at a low speed. If E06 reappears, the sensor or motor assembly is likely defective.

On most Aquaflow pumps, the speed sensor is integrated into the motor; replacement usually means installing a new motor assembly.
