Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power at the breaker and do not attempt to reset repeatedly. Risk of electric shock exists.
- Inspect for moisture: Open the motor terminal box and Aquaflow control housing. Look for condensation, standing water, or corrosion. Dry components with a clean cloth and allow to air dry thoroughly.
- Check cable glands and seals: Ensure all conduit entries and cable glands are tight and properly sealed to prevent water ingress.
- Examine motor cable: Look for nicks or crushed sections in the cable between the control box and motor. Replace if insulation is compromised.
- Test with GFCI: Verify that the GFCI or RCD feeding the pump is functioning correctly by using its test button. Replace if it trips erratically.
If E08 persists after drying and inspection, have a technician perform insulation resistance tests on the motor and wiring. A motor with low insulation typically must be replaced.
