Possible Causes
Open or shorted internal temperature sensor, Damaged sensor wiring, Sensor disconnected from control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before opening the control housing.
- Locate sensor: On Aquaflow models with built-in freeze protection, locate the temperature sensor harness on the control board.
- Check connection: Ensure the sensor plug is fully seated and not corroded.
- Inspect cable: Look for damage to the sensor cable, especially where it exits the housing.
- Test sensor: If you have a multimeter and sensor specs, measure resistance at a known temperature and compare to the Aquaflow service chart.
If the sensor is out of range or open/shorted, replace the temperature sensor. If the sensor tests good, the control board input may be faulty.
