Pump runs but there are large amounts of air bubbles in the pool returns

Safety first: Turn off the pump before tightening fittings.

• Check lid seal: Ensure the Aquaflow pump lid O-ring is clean, lubricated, and the lid is tight.
• Inspect unions: Tighten suction-side unions and replace O-rings if flattened or cracked.
• Vacuum hose test: Remove any vacuum hoses and run the pump on skimmer/main drain only to see if bubbles disappear.
• Soap test: With the pump running, apply soapy water to suspected joints; bubbles being sucked in indicate leaks.
