Possible Causes
Impeller partially blocked, Pump running against closed discharge, Incorrect impeller size installed, Motor winding degradation
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Shut off power and close valves before opening the pump housing.
- Inspect impeller and volute: Remove the AquaJet pump lid and basket. If necessary, separate the pump housing from the motor to access the impeller. Remove any debris wrapped around the impeller hub or lodged in the volute.
- Check system pressure: With the system reassembled and running (if possible), observe the filter pressure gauge. Extremely high pressure indicates a restriction downstream (dirty filter, closed valve). Correct any restrictions.
- Verify correct impeller: Confirm that the installed impeller matches the AquaJet model and motor horsepower. An oversized impeller can overload the motor.
- If E06 continues: The motor may be drawing excessive current due to internal winding damage. Have the motor tested with an insulation resistance meter and replace if out of spec.
