Possible Causes
Faulty motor hall sensor, Damaged speed feedback wiring harness, Failed control board input circuit
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before accessing the motor terminal box or control compartment.
- Inspect wiring harness: Locate the AquaJet motor feedback connector between the motor and control board. Ensure it is fully seated and free of corrosion or moisture.
- Check for damage: Look for pinched, cut, or chewed wires along the harness route. Repair or replace damaged sections.
- Reset controller: Restore power and perform a factory reset of the AquaJet controller if the manual provides this option. Reprogram desired speeds.
- Replace sensor or motor: If E08 persists, the internal speed sensor in the motor may have failed. On many AquaJet models this sensor is integrated into the motor assembly and requires motor replacement.
