Possible Causes
Line voltage above specification, Lightning-induced surge, Faulty neutral or grounding in supply circuit
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power at the main panel before inspecting wiring.
- Measure supply voltage: With a multimeter and power restored, verify that line voltage at the AquaJet terminals is within the rated range. If it is consistently high, contact your utility or an electrician.
- Inspect grounding: Ensure the AquaJet pump is properly bonded and grounded according to local codes. Loose or missing ground can worsen surge effects.
- Install surge protection: Consider adding a surge protective device at the pool sub‑panel to protect the AquaJet electronics.
- Reset and test: Power cycle the pump and clear E09. If the code returns with normal voltage, the control board may have been damaged by a surge and require replacement.
