Safety first: Use caution when touching the motor; surfaces can be very hot. Turn off power before cleaning vents.

• Improve ventilation: Clear debris around the AquaJet pump and ensure adequate airflow. Do not enclose the pump in a tight box without ventilation.
• Reduce speed or duty cycle: On variable‑speed models, lower the RPM or break long run cycles into shorter intervals.
• Clean cooling fins: Brush dust and dirt from the motor housing and cooling fins.
• Monitor temperature: If overheating persists, have a technician evaluate motor current draw and insulation condition.
