Possible Causes
Loose pump lid, Cracked suction fitting or union, Low water level drawing air into skimmer, Air leak at suction valve stem
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power before tightening fittings or opening the pump.
- Check water level: Ensure pool water is high enough to fully cover the skimmer opening.
- Inspect lid and O‑ring: Clean and lubricate the AquaJet pump lid O‑ring and ensure the lid is tight.
- Soap test: With the pump running, apply a mixture of dish soap and water to suction‑side joints and watch for the soap being sucked in, indicating a leak.
- Repair leaks: Tighten or replace leaking unions, fittings, or valves. Cracked fittings should be cut out and replaced.
