Display shows 'dE' or 'dry' and the pump stops shortly after starting.

Safety first: Do not repeatedly run the pump dry; this can damage the mechanical seal and impeller. Turn off power before opening the pump.

• Verify water supply: Ensure the pool is not drained below skimmer level and that any isolation valves on the suction side are fully open.
• Prime the pump: Remove the lid, fill the AstralPool pump housing with water, check the lid O-ring, and reinstall the lid tightly.
• Clean baskets: Remove and clean skimmer and pump baskets to restore flow.
• Check for air leaks: Inspect and tighten all suction unions and replace any flattened or cracked O-rings.

If 'dE' persists with a fully flooded pump, the dry-run sensor or flow detection circuit may be faulty and should be tested by a technician.
