Possible Causes

Missing phase on 3‑phase supply, Loose terminal on one phase, Internal inverter output fault, Damaged motor cable between drive and motor

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Only a qualified electrician should test 3‑phase circuits. Turn off and lock out the breaker before inspection.

  • Verify supply phases: Have an electrician measure voltage between all three phases at the pump input. Any missing or low phase must be corrected at the switchboard or supply.
  • Inspect terminals: With power isolated, remove the terminal cover and check that all phase conductors are firmly clamped and show no signs of overheating.
  • Check motor cable: On models with a separate drive and motor, inspect the multi-core motor cable for cuts, crushed sections or water ingress at glands.

If the external supply is correct and ERR5 persists, the internal inverter or motor windings may be faulty. Contact an AstralPool service technician for drive or motor replacement.
