How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power before unplugging or reseating any low-voltage connectors.
- Inspect keypad cable: Check the flexible cable between the keypad/display and the main housing for cuts, kinks or rodent damage.
- Reseat connectors: With power off, open the control housing and gently unplug and replug the keypad connector on the PCB to clear oxidation.
- Check for moisture and corrosion: Look for green/white corrosion on pins. Light surface corrosion can sometimes be cleaned with contact cleaner and a soft brush.
- Test operation: Restore power and see if the display responds. If ERR7 remains, the keypad or main PCB likely needs replacement.
