Possible Causes
Faulty motor speed sensor, Damaged sensor wiring, Internal inverter fault, Debris or rust affecting rotor sensor area
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Isolate power before removing any motor covers.
- Power cycle: Turn off the breaker for several minutes, then restart the pump. If ERR9 clears and returns only occasionally, log when it happens (e.g., only at high speed).
- Inspect motor harness: On models with an external motor feedback cable, check for damage or loose connectors between the motor and control PCB.
- Check for vibration and noise: Excessive mechanical vibration can disturb sensor readings; ensure the pump is firmly mounted and not rattling.
Speed sensor and inverter diagnostics require specialized tools. Contact an AstralPool service agent for motor/inverter testing and replacement if necessary.
