Possible Causes
Loose supply connection, Faulty timer or automation relay, Overheating motor thermal cut-out cycling, Intermittent control PCB fault
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power before tightening any electrical connections.
- Check external controls: Inspect any AstralPool timers, chlorinators or automation systems controlling the pump for loose terminals or relays clicking off and on.
- Inspect supply wiring: Ensure all connections at the pump terminal block and any junction boxes are tight and corrosion-free.
- Monitor motor temperature: If the motor is very hot when it stops and restarts after cooling, the thermal overload is cycling due to overheating; address ventilation and load issues.
