Pump attempts to start, then stops and shows E06; sometimes accompanied by humming noise from the motor.

Safety first: Unplug the pump. Capacitors can hold charge; do not touch capacitor terminals unless you know how to safely discharge them.

• Check for mechanical binding: Remove the pump lid and basket. Reach into the wet end and try to spin the impeller by hand (or with a plastic tool). If it does not rotate freely, clear debris or consider bearing/shaft repair.
• Listen for humming: If the motor only hums briefly before E06, the start capacitor is a likely culprit. On models with an external capacitor housing, inspect for bulging, cracks, or leakage.
• Test with proper voltage: Ensure the pump is connected directly to a correct‑voltage outlet without extension cords. Low voltage can prevent the motor from starting.
• Capacitor replacement: If you are experienced, you may remove and replace the capacitor with an identical Bestway‑specified µF and voltage rating. Otherwise, have a technician perform this repair.
