How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before opening the pump or filter.
- Clean hydraulic path: Remove and clean the pump strainer basket. Inspect the impeller for wrapped hair, string, or plastic. Remove any obstructions.
- Service the filter system: For Bestway cartridge filters, clean or replace the cartridge. For sand filters, perform a full backwash and rinse. High filter pressure can overload the pump.
- Check for closed valves: Ensure any return or bypass valves are fully open and that there are no shut‑off valves left partially closed.
- Monitor operation: After cleaning, run the pump and monitor for normal sound and temperature. If E07 recurs with clear plumbing, the motor may be failing and should be evaluated by a technician.
