Pump display shows E08 and unit will not run; often associated with water detected inside the motor or control housing.

Safety first: Immediately unplug the pump. Do not attempt to run a pump suspected of having internal water ingress; risk of electric shock.

• External inspection: Look for visible cracks in the Bestway pump housing, motor casing, or control box. Check for water droplets inside transparent covers.
• Check seals and O‑rings: Inspect the pump lid O‑ring, hose adapter O‑rings, and any cable entry grommets. Replace any flattened, cracked, or brittle seals with Bestway‑approved parts.
• Drying (minor moisture only): If only light condensation is present in the control area, move the pump to a dry, sheltered location and allow it to air dry for 24–48 hours. Do not open sealed motor compartments.
• Do not bypass safety: If E08 persists or if you see significant water inside the motor or control box, the unit should be professionally inspected or replaced. Internal components may be compromised.
