Possible Causes
Damaged membrane keypad, Moisture under control panel overlay, Loose ribbon cable between keypad and PCB, Failed user interface circuit on PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before opening any control covers.
- Dry the panel: If the keypad has been exposed to rain or splashes, gently dry the surface and edges with a soft cloth. Do not use solvents. Allow the panel to air dry in a shaded, dry area.
- Check for stuck buttons: Press each button individually several times to free any that may be stuck. Look for physical damage or tears in the keypad overlay.
- Inspect internal connection (if accessible): Remove the control panel cover and verify that the keypad ribbon cable is fully inserted into the PCB connector. Reseat it carefully.
- Test operation: Restore power and check if the display responds. If E10 remains and buttons are unresponsive, the keypad or PCB may need replacement.
