Pump runs but flow is weak and jets in the pool are barely moving

Safety first: Turn off power and close valves before opening any part of the system.

• Check filter pressure: Read the pressure gauge on the filter. If it is higher than normal, backwash or clean the filter according to manufacturer instructions.
• Verify valve positions: Ensure all return and bypass valves are fully open. Adjust any diverter valves that may be sending flow to features instead of the main pool.
• Inspect pump internals: Remove the pump lid and basket. If flow remains weak, open the pump housing and inspect the impeller and diffuser for debris or scale buildup. Clean thoroughly.
• Review system design: Compare pipe sizes and lengths to Calpeda's recommended installation guidelines. Excessive elbows, long runs, or small-diameter pipes can reduce flow; consider plumbing modifications if chronic low flow persists.
