Safety first: Adjusting speed and timers is generally safe, but avoid opening electrical enclosures with power on.

• Increase pump speed: On variable-speed Calpeda models, raise the RPM to the manufacturer-recommended level for filtration and observe circulation at the pool returns.
• Extend run time: Adjust the controller timer to run the pump long enough to achieve at least one full pool volume turnover per day (often 8–12 hours, depending on flow).
• Inspect impeller: If flow seems weak even at higher speeds, check the impeller for debris or scale buildup and clean as needed.
• Verify filter condition: Ensure the filter media is clean and in good condition; poor filtration can mimic low circulation.
