Debris in impeller vanes, partially blocked Certikin skimmer line, collapsed flexible suction hose, obstructed non‑return valve
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Isolate power and close valves before disassembling pipework.
- Clean basket and skimmers: Empty the pump strainer basket and Certikin skimmer baskets. Remove any large debris.
- Inspect impeller: Remove the pump lid and basket, then access the impeller by removing the motor from the wet end. Clean out any hair, leaves, or plastic wrapped around the impeller.
- Check suction line: Backflush the suction line from the pump towards the pool using a hose to dislodge blockages.
- Inspect non‑return valve: If fitted on the suction, open and check that the flap moves freely and is not obstructed.
