Possible Causes
Tripped overload relay in Certikin control panel, faulty contactor, broken pump isolator switch, open winding in motor
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Only a competent person should work on live circuits. Isolate whenever possible.
- Check isolator: Confirm the Certikin pump isolator is in the ON position and functioning. Replace if the handle feels loose or the contacts are burnt.
- Inspect control panel: Open the panel and check that the pump contactor pulls in when START is pressed. If not, test the coil and control circuit.
- Overload relay: Reset the thermal overload relay associated with the pump. If it trips again immediately, investigate motor current draw.
- Test motor windings: With the motor disconnected and power isolated, measure resistance across windings. Infinite resistance indicates an open winding and the motor must be replaced.
