Possible Causes

Foreign object jammed in DAB impeller, Severely worn or misaligned mechanical seal causing drag, Seized or partially seized motor bearings, Incorrect wiring of motor phases (for multi‑speed or three‑phase models)

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Turn off and lock out power. Close valves to isolate the pump from the pool system.

Steps to check:

  • Open pump wet end: Remove the pump lid and basket. If necessary, unbolt the pump housing to access the impeller. Remove any debris (stones, toys, cable ties) that may be wedged in the impeller vanes.
  • Check shaft rotation: Try to rotate the shaft manually from the motor fan end. It should spin freely with slight resistance. Grinding or stiffness indicates bearing or seal issues.
  • Inspect mechanical seal: Look for signs of leakage or melted seal faces. A failed seal can overheat and lock the shaft.
  • Reassemble and test: Refit all parts, ensure O‑rings are seated, and prime the pump. Restore power and clear E06.
  • If E06 persists with free‑spinning shaft: The motor or inverter stall detection may be faulty. Motor replacement or inverter module replacement may be required.
