Possible Causes

Pump not properly primed, Air leak on suction side, Blocked suction line or closed suction valve, Faulty flow or pressure sensor in DAB pump

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Turn off power before opening the pump lid. Never run the pump dry; it can destroy the mechanical seal.

Steps to check:

  • Prime the pump: Remove the pump lid, fill the strainer housing completely with water, replace the lid ensuring the O‑ring is clean and lubricated, then open all valves.
  • Check suction valves: Confirm that the skimmer and main drain valves are open and that any 3‑way valves are correctly positioned.
  • Inspect for air leaks: Look for bubbles in the pump lid while running. Check unions, suction fittings, and the lid O‑ring for cracks or damage. Replace seals as needed.
  • Clean suction line: Remove obstructions from skimmer baskets and vacuum lines. If a line is blocked, use a plumbing snake or professional line cleaning.
  • If E10 persists with good prime: The internal flow/pressure sensor or dry‑run detection circuit in the DAB control module may be faulty and require replacement.
