Possible Causes

Blocked or dirty pool filter causing high backpressure, Closed or partially closed return valves, Undersized return plumbing for selected speed, Faulty pressure sensor in DAB pump

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Turn off the pump before adjusting valves or opening the filter.

Steps to check:

  • Check filter pressure gauge: If the filter pressure is significantly above normal operating range, backwash or clean the filter according to manufacturer instructions.
  • Inspect return valves: Ensure all return line valves are fully open. Verify that any heater bypass valves are correctly set.
  • Reduce speed: On variable‑speed DAB pumps, temporarily lower the speed setting and see if E11 disappears. This can confirm a hydraulic overpressure condition.
  • Check for downstream blockages: Inspect check valves, heaters, chlorinators, and in‑line devices for restrictions.
  • If system is clear but E11 remains: The DAB pressure sensor or its wiring may be faulty and should be tested and replaced if necessary.
