Pump cannot be primed after winterization or long shutdown, even after multiple attempts

Safety first: Turn off power before priming or adjusting valves.

Steps to check:

• Remove winter plugs: Ensure all skimmer and main drain plugs are removed and lines are open.
• Prime thoroughly: Fill the DAB pump basket housing completely with water, possibly several times, to purge air.
• Bleed air: If your system has an air bleed valve on the filter, open it while the pump starts to release trapped air.
• Inspect suction piping: Look for visible cracks or joints that may be drawing air. Repair or replace damaged sections.
