Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off the pump at the breaker before opening any lids or unions.
- Clean baskets: Remove and clean the skimmer basket(s) and the Emaux pump strainer basket. Ensure no plastic bags, leaves, or toys are obstructing flow.
- Check for air leaks: Inspect the pump lid O‑ring for cracks or dirt. Clean the sealing surface and lubricate the O‑ring with a silicone-based lubricant. Tighten the lid firmly but do not overtighten.
- Inspect suction unions: Tighten the suction-side unions on the Emaux pump housing. Look for bubbles in the pump basket when running; persistent bubbles indicate an air leak.
- Check impeller: If flow is still low, remove the pump housing cover (after draining and isolating valves) and inspect the impeller eye for debris. Clear any obstructions carefully.
After restoring proper flow and prime, restart the pump. If E10 continues despite good flow, the flow sensor or control PCB may be faulty and require service.
