Possible Causes
Impeller partially blocked, Wrong impeller fitted (oversized), Excessive system backpressure due to closed valves or dirty filter
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power and close isolation valves before opening the pump or filter.
- Check system pressure: Read the pressure gauge on the Emaux sand filter or cartridge filter. If pressure is high compared to normal, backwash or clean the filter.
- Verify valve positions: Ensure return and suction valves are fully open and that no bypass valves are incorrectly set.
- Inspect impeller: Remove the pump housing cover and check the impeller for debris or damage. Clean thoroughly and ensure it spins freely on the shaft.
- Confirm correct parts: If the pump was recently serviced, verify that the correct Emaux impeller model (matching the pump model) was installed.
After reducing load and clearing obstructions, restart the pump. Persistent E13 may indicate internal motor damage requiring replacement.
