Possible Causes
Moisture ingress into keypad, Damaged keypad membrane, Loose keypad ribbon cable to control PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before removing the keypad or control cover.
- Dry the keypad: If the keypad surface is wet, dry it with a soft cloth. Do not use solvents. Allow time for internal moisture to evaporate.
- Check ribbon cable: Open the control housing and ensure the keypad ribbon cable is fully inserted and locked into the PCB connector.
- Inspect for cracks: Look for visible cracks or delamination of the keypad membrane. If damaged, the keypad assembly must be replaced.
- Weather protection: If the pump is installed outdoors, consider adding a weather shield or enclosure to reduce direct rain exposure.
If E14 persists after drying and reseating connections, replace the keypad or complete control panel assembly.
