Possible Causes
Loose power connections, Faulty external timer or relay, Intermittent thermal overload trip
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power before inspecting wiring.
- Inspect power wiring: Tighten all terminals in the pump’s terminal box and in the pool equipment panel feeding the Emaux pump.
- Bypass external timer: Temporarily connect the pump directly to constant power (through a proper switch/breaker) to see if cycling stops. If it does, replace or repair the external timer/relay.
- Check for overheating: Feel the motor housing after it stops. If it is very hot, the internal thermal overload may be tripping due to overheating.
- Monitor voltage: Have an electrician check for voltage dips or fluctuations that could cause the drive to reset.
Persistent short cycling can damage the motor and electronics; address the root cause promptly.
