Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Do not work on live circuits. Turn off the main breaker before opening any panels.
- Check breaker and RCD: Inspect the pool equipment breaker and any RCD/GFCI device. Reset if tripped. If it trips again immediately, there may be a fault in the pump or wiring.
- Verify outlet or supply: If the pump is plug-in type, test the outlet with another appliance. For hardwired units, have an electrician verify voltage at the disconnect.
- Inspect power cable: Look for cuts, crushed sections, or burn marks on the Emaux pump power cable. Replace if damaged.
- Check internal connections: With power off, open the motor terminal box and ensure all wires are secure on the terminal block.
If power is present at the terminal block but the pump remains completely dead, the internal thermal fuse or control PCB is likely open and the motor/control assembly should be replaced by a technician.
