How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect the pump from power before opening the control housing. Avoid static discharge to electronic boards.
Steps:
- 1. Dry the control area: If the Flowclear control panel has been exposed to rain or splashing, allow it to dry completely in a shaded, ventilated area for 24 hours.
- 2. Inspect keypad cable: Remove the control cover and locate the flat ribbon cable from the keypad to the main PCB. Ensure it is fully seated and not pinched or damaged.
- 3. Check for corrosion: Look for green/white corrosion on connectors. Light corrosion can sometimes be cleaned with contact cleaner and a soft brush. Heavy corrosion usually requires PCB replacement.
- 4. Reassemble and test: Refit the cover, ensuring the gasket is intact to keep moisture out. Reconnect power and test the buttons.
- 5. Replace if needed: If E08 remains and buttons are unresponsive, replace the Flowclear control PCB or complete control panel assembly.
