Possible Causes
Water ingress into motor or junction box, Damaged insulation on internal wiring, Cracked motor housing, Moisture in control panel
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Do not bypass or hold in a tripping GFCI/RCD. Unplug the pump immediately. Risk of electric shock is present.
Inspection steps:
- 1. Visual inspection: Check the Flowclear pump body, motor housing, and control box for cracks, missing gaskets, or obvious water entry points.
- 2. Drying: If the unit has been rained on or splashed heavily, move it to a dry, sheltered area and allow it to dry for at least 24–48 hours.
- 3. Check cord and plug: Inspect for cuts, nicks, or crushed sections. Replace the cord set if any damage is found.
- 4. Do not open sealed motor: If water has entered the sealed motor compartment, the motor assembly must be replaced; it is not user-serviceable.
- 5. Professional testing: For persistent E09 or GFCI trips, have a qualified technician perform insulation resistance tests and replace the motor or control PCB as required.
