Possible Causes
Failed thermistor on motor or PCB, Broken sensor wiring, Poor thermal contact between sensor and motor body, Control board fault
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power and allow the pump to cool before opening any covers.
Steps:
- 1. Confirm actual temperature: Touch the motor housing carefully; if it is only mildly warm but E14 appears, the sensor is likely faulty rather than true overheating.
- 2. Inspect sensor wiring: Locate the temperature sensor (thermistor) attached to the motor or PCB. Check for broken wires or loose connectors.
- 3. Clean contact area: Ensure the sensor is firmly attached to the motor body with proper thermal compound or clip, if applicable.
- 4. Replace sensor or PCB: If wiring is intact but E14 persists, replace the Flowclear temperature sensor harness or the entire control PCB, depending on design.
