Possible Causes
Water inside motor or control box, Damaged power cord, Internal short in motor windings, Faulty control PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Do not repeatedly reset a tripping breaker or GFCI. Unplug the pump and keep it away from water until inspected.
Steps:
- 1. Inspect cord and plug: Look for visible damage. Replace the Flowclear cord or pump if the cord is compromised.
- 2. Check for moisture: If the pump has been exposed to heavy rain or flooding, allow it to dry completely in a sheltered area for 24–48 hours.
- 3. Try another circuit: If safe, test on a different GFCI-protected outlet to rule out a faulty breaker.
- 4. Internal fault: Persistent tripping indicates an internal short. The motor assembly or control PCB must be replaced by a qualified technician.
